The Diagnostic Unit is a patient’s first encounter with Lega del Filo d’Oro. Here, we diagnose and evaluate deafblind children and adults. Our diagnostic process of discovering and enhancing residual sensory, cognitive and motor skills is critical.

Families are integral to the rehabilitative process. For families who live outside of the local area, we offer residential apartments that are specially designed to host the user and their family during the diagnosis period. Residential areas include bedrooms for privacy and comfort, and a common area so families can bond and share experiences in an informal environment.
